Physical well-being is one of the most important aspects of our overall health. At ThriveWell At Home, we understand that food plays a crucial role in determining how we feel, but so does how we eat. The modern world, filled with oversized portions and easy access to fast food, makes it easy to overeat without even noticing. If you’re looking to maintain a healthy weight or feel better overall, one simple but powerful habit can make all the difference: stop eating before you're full.

Satiety, or the feeling of fullness, has a delay between when your body has had enough and when your brain registers it. This gap can lead to overeating. By stopping at about 80% fullness, you allow your brain and body to align, giving you time to recognize when you’ve eaten enough—helping prevent overeating and discomfort.

This habit helps with weight management, enhances digestion, and boosts energy levels. It’s a small shift that can bring big rewards for your health. Overeating can lead to sluggishness and bloating while eating just enough ensures efficient digestion and keeps your energy steady throughout the day.

Changing eating habits takes time, but it can be done! Start by eating slowly, savoring each bite, and using smaller portions to give your body time to catch up. In our culture of excess, embracing "less is more" when it comes to food can lead to a healthier, more balanced life
